The front-end electronics read-out boards performs the amplification, discrimination, timing measurement and pipelining of the incoming signal.
Because of their size, 16x19.5mm, which is similar to a postage stamp, they are commonly referred to as Stamp-cards.

The different types of Stamp-cards:
ASDBLR-card ASDBLR stamp-card.
DTMROC-card DTMROC stamp-card.
