The Electronics group at the Department of Particle Physics, Lund University has contributed to the Transition Radiation Tracker (TRT) by designing part of the front-end electronics for the Barrel module.
The design is an on-going project where first several prototypes have to be built and evaluated before the actual final version can be constructed. Because of the constraints set by available space, the electronics design have to be carefully correlated with the mechanics design of the detector.


The electronics work is mainly concentrated in two areas;

1) The development of ASIC-chip which will perform all the front-end signal handling and
2) The development and prototype manufacturing of front-end PCB:s capable of fast analog and digital signal handling.
