A detailed Monte Carlo model using GEANT, has been developed to
simulate the TRT prototype and the complete beamline. It makes use of
the same software modules as the simulation of the TRT in the ATLAS
Inner Detector providing as accurate as possible a calibration for the
performance studies of the final ATLAS detector.
