The Pad Chamber Sector Numbering


According to the standard PHENIX index scheme, north corresponds to "1" (global z > 0), south to "0", west to "1" (global x > 0) and east to "0".
   Each pad chamber is divided into logical parts, called modules, with separate pixel systems that are read out on the sector sides by front end modules (FEM). The PC1 chambers have two such parts, while the PC2 and PC3 sectors each have four. Side "0" corresponds to the south side and side "1" to the north side. "IP" means the interaction point.

The PC1 sub sectors...
 Each arm has 8 PC1 chambers, called sub sectors, read out by a total of 16 FEM:s.

The PC2 sectors...
 There are 4 PC2 sectors in each arm, read out by 16 FEM:s. Only the west arm will be present in the first year(s) of running (although it was not present at all during run 2000).

The PC3 sectors...
 In each arm, 4 PC3 sectors are read out by 16 FEM:s.
   NOTE: The PC3W motherboards are facing the IP as compared to the PC1 and the PC2/3E chambers in which the pixelboards are facing the IP.
