Spartak was more like Spartak-2 in that match - Nigmatullin, Onopko and Afanassiyev were disqualified, Nikiforov, Pyatnitsky and Tsymbalar are injured. Dinamo also missed several key players though, including current championship's top scorer Teryokhin. In the first half Spartak couldn't even make single shot on Dinamo's goal, and Dinamo has several chances to score, Nekrasov giving unnecessary passes a couple of times. In the very end Cheryshev scored, it looked like the ball touched somebody of Spartak defence cause goalkeeper jumped in right corner of the goal and ball got to the left.. In the beginning of the second half Safronov was kicking the ball to the empty goal from 15 meters and managed to get to Khlestov standing in there. After that Spartak was dominating for the rest of the match, Mukhamadiyev and Kechinov had good chances between 10th and 20th minute. FINAL

Wednesday, June 14, 1995, Moscow, the "Luzhniki" stadium.

Dinamo Moscow - Rotor Volgograd 0:0, 8:7 in shoot-out

Att: 19000 Didn't score from penalty kick: Veretennikov 117 (post) Shoot-out: Veretennikov 0:1, S.Nekrasov 1:1, Bondar' 1:2, Ishkinin 2:2, Burlachenko 2:3, Samatov 3:3, Men'schikov 3:4, Kutsenko 4:4, Troynin 4:5, Yakhimovich 5:5, Nechay 5:6, Bogomolov 6:6, Zhunenko 6:7, Safronov 7:7, Korniyets 7:7 (goalkeeper holded), Shul'gin 8:7 Dinamo: Smetanin, Yakhimovich, I.Nekrasov (82.Ishkinin), Tochilin, Sabitov (50.Shul'gin), S.Nekrasov, Samatov, Kobelev (110. Bogomolov), Safronov, Podpaly, Kutsenko Rotor: Samorukov, Zhunenko, Burlachenko, Korniyets, Nechay, Tsarenko, Bondar', Niederhaus (105.Men'schikov), Veretennikov, Berketov (67.Troynin), Nechayev (46.Krivov) Yellow cards: I.Nekrasov, Bondar', Podpaly Yellow/Red: Podpaly 117 (rude talk to referee) Dinamo missed several key players, including both Russian national team players Kovtun (disqualification) and Cheryshev (injury). Rotor was dominating in the first half due to nervousity of Dinamo young reserve players who suddenly got to big match. Veretennikov kicked good from free-kicks several times, Berketov and Niederhaus could score as well. In the second half it all was vice versa, with Dinamo having some good chances, especially Kutsenko.. Extra time was in general ruled by Rotor. Penalty at 3 minutes to end is real challenge for referee, but he decided on it when Krivov fallen in the box (TV replays showed that there was no foul however, and several minutes before there was foul on Veretennikov, but referee missed that one). Well, shoot-out is mainly a lottery.. though 8 out of 8 for Dinamo is quite good, eh? Dinamo wins something for the first time since 1984.
