Course plan: Three 2-hour lectures a week. In each 2-hour lecture, one chapter of the book is covered. In addition, there will be two lectures on astroparticle physics. There will be a few weekly exercises which should be handed over, and which give part of the total points. Exercises will be explained in four problem-solving sessions. There will also be a few presentations about current research in high-energy physics (not included in the exam). LU students (FYS225) should in addition do invidual project work on a selected topic. The project will be presented orally (student seminar) (ca. 20 min each). |
