Oscillation test ---------------- We checked the reference voltages with the 22 ohm resistor after the op on 1chip mcmcard, we could not see any oscillations. Previous "quick" look was most likely too quick. Files taken with various gain/shaper settings for the "1chip" mcm card. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- gain lowest=0 shaper longest=0, two files first with x scale 800-900 taken first, second with xscale 800-1000 as taken last after all other files. ch-all-chip10061-ped-preamp0gain0shaper0decay0.5-800-900.pdf ch-all-chip10061-ped-preamp0gain0shaper0decay0.5.pdf Then combinations of gain 0,1,2,3 and shaper 1,3,7 ch-all-chip10061-ped-preamp0gain0shaper1decay0.5.pdf ch-all-chip10061-ped-preamp0gain0shaper3decay0.5.pdf ch-all-chip10061-ped-preamp0gain0shaper7decay0.5.pdf ch-all-chip10061-ped-preamp0gain1shaper0decay0.5.pdf ch-all-chip10061-ped-preamp0gain2shaper0decay0.5.pdf ch-all-chip10061-ped-preamp0gain3shaper0decay0.5.pdf ch-all-chip10061-ped-preamp0gain3shaper7decay0.5.pdf Note that channel 8 is strange only for gain=0,shaper=0. Channel 8 is at pedestal 876.9 when strange. else 884,888,895,889.9,885.3,889.5 For other settings other channels have similar "strange" pedestal e.g. channel 10 for gain=2,shaper=0. Does this behaviour depend on where on ADC scale one is? Chip address ------------ The chip that remains on the mcmard has one address bit floating. This results in that sometimes the chip think it has address 3 and sometimes address 1. The change happens when one power on the card.
