File Description

EVRxxxxxx.VST
Output files from the DELANA processing. Each of these files are read and processed by COMPACT.

FILLxxxx.FX
Compressed Zebra structure data file. This is the output from COMPACT, which is a compression of all of the DELANA files in a given fill. This is in turn read by VSDIAG to create the final output.

SUM_FILL.NTP
This is a summary ntuple that COMPACT generates for each processed fill. It contains summarized information produced in DELANA for each DELANA file. Some of the more interesting information of this Ntuple is directly imported and used in VSDIAG.

FILLRUN.DAT
The DRDB list is fetched over the net and is written down in this file. More or less all programs use this file to keep track on which cassettes that are present in a fill.

NEXTFILL.TXT
Next fill to be processed. ODEN reads this file, processes the fill and updates the file to the next fill that should be processed.

DEL-VER.TXT
This file is read both by ODEN and COMPACT to keep track of the current DELANA version.

LAST-VST.TMP
Generated by ODEN and contains the names of the DELANA files in a given fill that are present on the disk. This file is then read by THOR when the processed DELANA files should be moved to another location.

MISSCASS.TXT
List of missing cassettes for each fill. This file is read and updated by ODEN, which mainly writes down the list of missing cassettes and the average energy of the fill.

NO-CASS.TXT
This is generated by ODEN if no DELANA files are present. COMPACT is not run by ODEN if this file is present, ODEN also tells THOR to wait with the running of ODEN for two days. If this file exists for the next fill as well ODEN does however not wait for two days, but instead jumps to the next fill directly. If this file is found for five fills in a row at the end of the Fillrun.dat list, THOR changes the DELANA version and starts processing the first fill in the list.

SOME-CASS.TMP
This is created by ODEN if some DELANA files are present. When this file is generated it also deletes the NO-CASS.TXT file, so that ODEN can work in a normal order. If COMPACT finds any bad cassettes during processing, it will remove this file. This in turn makes ODEN to execute the ODEN.exe program once again to correct the missing cassettes in misscass.txt.

ALL-CASS.TMP
ODEN creates this files if all DELANA files are present. THOR looks after the existence of this file when it decides where to put the processed DELANA files.

END-FILL.TXT
If ODEN has reached the last fill in the FILLRUN.DAT list, this file is created. This in turn makes THOR to start a program that updates FILLRUN.DAT to the newest fill from the DELPHI DRDB command.

WAIT.TXT
If not all DELANA files are present ODEN generates this file. If it exists, THOR will wait with the execution of ODEN for two days.

VSAT.TXT
Files that contains information of DELANA version, group number and other stuff that VSDIAG needs to run.

LEAK.TXT
Information about the leakage correction curves.

GINFO.TXT
Information about the minibunch tagging constants.

ECAL.TXT
The energy calibration constants for each fill.

Dxxxx.HIS
This is the generated histogram output file that contains all vital physics information about the fill.

Dxxxx.NTP
Besides the histogram file an ntuple of the most essential variables is created as well.

Gxxxx.TXT
DELPHI event file for two photon physics
