§2
Programme of Partikeldagarna.
The question of who to invite as an external speaker was addressed first. The idea to invite someone to report on astroparticle physics (proposed at the previous meeting) was questioned and it was suggested that a talk on Extra Dimensions would be more appealing to both the experimental and theoretical camps in the community. This idea received approval from all. After some discussion of suitable speakers, Måns agreed to invite Ignatios Antoniadis from Ecole Polytechnique.
Sten reported that Pär Omling from Vetenskapsrådet had not replied to his invitation yet and promised to make contact with him.
The schedule of the meeting was then discussed. The organising committee will arrange the schedule once a list of speakers is decided upon. There was a lengthy discussion on which topics should be included and the following consensus was reached where people specifically responsible for contacting speakers are indicated in brackets. Long contributions will be sought in the areas of: RHIC (Richard), astroparticle physics - theory and experimental (Sten) and a report from the Uppsala theory group (Ulf). Shorter contributions will be sought from: GLAST (Mark), The Nordic LHC Workshop (including GRID), the Lund Workshop on Small-x Physics (Leif), LEP (young speaker especially welcome). Additional contributions from students who have just completed (or are about to complete) a PhD thesis will also be sought.
Richard explained some possibilities for the conference dinner and the status of the www pages was described.
Finally, it was decided to charge persons attending the partikeldagarna 195 SEK extra if they are not already a member of the SFS a one year free membership to the SFS will then be forthcoming! The final fee will be fixed at the next meeting once the local organisers have defined a budget.
