Network mobility

We have pursued research student exchange between the network nodes. The following student exchanges have taken place:

1. J. Sjölin, student in Stockholm -> Bergen 2001 (supervised by P. Osland)
2. P. Skands, student in Copenhagen -> Lund 2001 (supervised by T. Sjöstrand)
3. K. Myklevoll, student in Bergen -> Lund 2002 (supervised by T. Sjöstrand)
4. W. Khater, student in Bergen -> Helsinki 2003 (supervised by K. Huitu)
5. B. Mohn, student in Bergen -> Uppsala 2003 (supervised by T. Ekelöf)
6. A. Kraan, student in Copenhagen -> Lund 2003 (supervised by T. Sjöstrand)

The visits have been between one and two months. 50% of the exchange students listed above are female doctoral students.

The network co-operation has also resulted in PhD recruitment between the nodes, which we consider as a very positive aspect in order to improve the possibilities for students to pursue doctoral studies. P. Skands was a Master student in Copenhagen who got a PhD student position in the Lund theory group through the initial contacts within the network. B. Gjelsten was a Master student in Bergen who obtained a PhD studentship in Oslo, and B. Mohn is now a Bergen PhD student who is outstationed in Uppsala.
