For every 10 fills that have been processed by COMPACT, THOR starts the offline analysis program VSDIAG. This program extracts physical information from each event and fill histograms and ntuples with interesting quantities. After the processing of the 10 fills have been done, THOR merges the ntuples and sends a mail to the VSAT shifter about the new data. The shifter should then login on a Vax station on the offline cluster and execute PAW. Inside PAW he should issue the command - ''EXEC WSDED2$DKA100:[VSAT.THOR]CHECK''
He will then enter an offline data quality checking program. This will display a number of formatted histogram pages, which can be printed out by pressing 'P'. Documentation on how to view these histograms should be handed over to the VSAT shifter at the start of the shift. The histograms shown in these pages should fulfill the criterias of section 1.2 and are summarized in section 4.2. Information about the number of missing cassettes for each fill should also be displayed.
