To realize the concepts from the previous chapter the program package THOR(Total Handling of Offline Reprocessing) was constructed. The general idea of the program is that everything that could be done automatically should be done so. The program should run continuously during the year in batch mode on the station WSDED2, controlling the VSAT disks and data taking. The program should also generate information about data taking and the VSAT system.
Even though the program should do everything automatically it should also be possible to guide the program to do other things without stopping it. It should be possible to control the program by using FTP from a remote station, as it might be that there is no VSAT shifter in CERN. This chapter will describe the structure of the program and show how it fulfills the criterias that was set up in the guidelines of the previous chapter.
