It has been shown that the VSAT data can, after a serious analysis
of the off-energy background, be used to explore QCD physics in
the low Q2 region. The final VSAT data and Monte Carlo from LEP
II just got ready and this thesis only scraped on the surface of
the potential measurements. Clearly the VSAT single tag data would
be interesting to use both for measurements of the
F2
structure function at low x as well as the total
cross section.
It is clear that the STIC+VSAT double tag data is a very interesting data sample, with statistics comparable to that of the VSAT double tag data (after background rejection). This analysis show that TWOGAM reproduce the STIC+VSAT data very well, and further measurements should be performed.
