Aurora Cluster

The Aurora cluster is a big cluster hosted at Lunarc.

Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics and Theoretical Physics have a dedicated subset of nodes on the cluster, named au[193-216], the HEP nodes.

These are 24 nodes with 20 cores each, for a total of 480 cores (haswell hardware), with a dedicated SLURM partition hep that is separate from the other offered by Lunarc and exclusively dedicated to the three communities above. These have been procured with Faculty funding on infrastructure.

Users related to these nodes can now communicate via the mailing list aurora-hep-users[-AT-]hep.lu.se

The HEP nodes have a dedicated storage system of 50TB for the communities listed above to use.

Mathematical Physics has a dedicated subset of nodes, mn[01-10] and mn[15-20] (skylake hardware)

The aurora cluster nodes can only be accessed using the slurm batch system, that allows users to run interactive sessions as well.

Use the page list on the left side or the menu button on your phone to know how to use Aurora.
